Nutritious blackcurrant breakfast idea

Whether you’ve been looking to simplify your breakfast routine or amp it up, a nutrient rich blackcurrant breakfast smoothie might be your golden ticket. Blackcurrant is a multipurpose workhorse superfruit that can protect, repair, and enhance your health.

Serves: 4

1. Place yoghurt, coconut water, banana, almond meal and blackcurrant fruit in a blender.

2. Mix for a few of minutes until smooth.

3. Place 1 tsp of chia seeds each in four 250ml glass bottles.

4. Divide the blackcurrant shake equally between the four bottles by pouring on top of the chia seeds.

5. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight. Can be enjoyed chilled or at room temperature.


130g yoghurt
500ml coconut water
1 large ripe banana
60g almond meal
125ml fresh blackcurrants
4 tsp chia seeds
